Monster Hunter Outlanders Tier List

Updated . This is a provisional list based on official mechanics. It will be updated when real hunt data can be cited. Every placement is estimated.

How we ranked them

This board is an estimate. Each check below is yes or no. It is true only when the Adventurer’s official profile, or the official overview for that weapon, names the feature. The class word Support does not count by itself. No attack, defense, or clear-time numbers are assigned.

Payoff: the text names a resource spent on a stronger attack, or a named stronger follow-up. Defense: the text names an evade, parry, guard, shield, Perfect Evade, or Perfect Guard. Ally: the Adventurer’s own profile says the effect reaches nearby allies.

T0 is payoff plus ally. T1 is payoff plus defense, without an ally line. T2 is payoff only. Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, and Heavy Bowgun have official overviews, so their defensive lines count for every Adventurer who uses that weapon. Hammer, Lance, and Bow have no overview page (those URLs returned 404 on 30 October 2026), so only the profile counts.

Fan tier lists from the first days after launch do not agree with each other, so they are not averaged into these bands. A later measured hunt can move a row. Until then the status on every ranked row stays estimated, and the source URL stays the official page the check came from.

The English official site on 30 October 2026 names thirteen Adventurers. A TiMi Studio Group press release on 25 August 2026 says closed-beta recruitment Crimson Authority, starting 28 August, is for Great Sword Adventurer Freya. That release does not describe her skills, and the launch roster page does not list her, so she is not given a tier. Community pages also call the hunter you create the Fated Adventurer. That name is not on the official pages checked here, so it is not a roster row.

Officially revealed, not yet ranked

The thirteen Adventurers above are the full named roster on the English official site checked 30 October 2026. Their tiers are estimates. The entries below are public and are not placed in T0, T1, or T2.

Best picks for solo vs co-op

The Google Play listing and the 29 October 2026 launch announcement say you can explore alone or form a 4-player hunting squad. They do not name a best Adventurer. The picks below use the same estimated rubric as the table.

Co-op pick: Madelyn. Her profile is the only one that says a detonation boosts her and nearby allies. Arkaya’s large shield is not described as a squad shield.

Solo picks: Midori, Haze, Pyro, Arkaya, and Ouyang Varen. Each of those profiles names both a personal damage payoff and a personal defensive action (an evade, a parry, enduring a hit, or a shield). Ryunosuke, Luxheart, and Pepper get a defensive line from a shared weapon overview, which counts for T1, and their own profiles do not add a separate defensive action, so they are not on this shortlist.

Changelog

  1. Provisional estimated tiers. Placed the 13 official-site Adventurers into T0, T1, or T2 using the payoff / defense / ally checks. No damage numbers. Rechecked Freya: a 25 August 2026 TiMi press release names her as a Great Sword Adventurer for closed-beta recruitment, and the 30 October launch roster does not list her, so she stays unranked. Fated Adventurer stays off the roster. The same rubric names Madelyn for co-op and Midori, Haze, Pyro, Arkaya, and Ouyang Varen for solo.

  2. First publish. Added the 13 Adventurers named on the English official site, with class, weapon, and a one-sentence paraphrase. Left every tier band empty. Recorded Charge Blade and the three Buddy types as revealed and unranked. Opened the codes page with mho1029 and mhogohunt marked unverified, an empty expired table, and a note that the Famitsu print serial is not reprinted here.

FAQ

Is this tier list based on real gameplay data?

No. This page does not use clear times, damage meters, or our own hunts. The bands are an estimate: each one counts only features named in an official profile or weapon overview. Monster Hunter Outlanders launched on 29 October 2026. The official site does not publish a power ranking. Community tier lists posted around launch disagree with each other, so they are not copied into these bands.

Why is every placement marked estimated?

The tier is a conclusion we drew from cited official sentences. The name, weapon, and class on each row come from the official site. The band does not. A measured hunt can move a name later.

What do Assault, Support, and Disruptor mean?

They are the class labels printed on the official site. That site does not give the classes a numeric definition. Here, class is a filter. It is separate from the tier bands.

Which weapons launched with the game?

The Google Play listing and the 29 October 2026 launch announcement name eight weapon types: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Charge Blade, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow. The same announcement says more weapon types are planned and does not name them. Charge Blade is described as switching between Sword Mode and Axe Mode. The official Adventurer roster does not list a named Adventurer who uses it.

Can I hunt solo?

The Play listing and the launch announcement say you can explore alone or form a 4-player hunting squad. They do not name a best Adventurer. This page’s solo and co-op shortlists are estimates from the same official-text rubric as the table, not from timed hunts.

Will this page add attack or defense numbers?

Only when a public page states the number and the row can link to it. This page does not estimate stats.
